We want you to feel fully prepared and supported before and after your treatment. Proper pre- and post-care helps promote comfort, healing, and the best possible results.
Your care instructions will be emailed to you before your visit, but we’ve also made them easy to access here so you can review them anytime.

Pre-Care
1 Week Before Treatment
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements when medically appropriate, including aspirin, ibuprofen, Aleve®, Vitamin E, fish oil, garlic, ginseng, Gingko Biloba, and St. John's Wort.
If you take prescription blood thinners, continue as directed by your healthcare provider and inform your injector before treatment.
2 Days Before Treatment
Consider taking Arnica® to help minimize bruising (optional).
Avoid alcohol for 24–48 hours before your appointment.
Day of Treatment
Arrive with clean skin free of makeup and skincare products.
Avoid alcohol prior to your appointment.
If you are prone to cold sores, notify your provider and begin any prescribed antiviral medication as directed.
Post- Care Instructions
Mild redness, swelling, tenderness, firmness, and bruising are common and typically resolve within several days.
For the First 24 Hours
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to treated areas.
Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, hot tubs, excessive heat, and alcohol.
Apply cool compresses as needed for comfort and swelling.
For the Next Several Days
Use gentle skincare and makeup application.
Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and Vitamin E unless medically necessary.
Wear SPF 30+ daily and limit excessive sun exposure.
Additional Recommendations
Wait 1 week before facials or skincare treatments.
Wait at least 6 weeks before laser treatments in the treated area.
Final results may take up to 2 weeks as swelling subsides and filler settles.
Contact RejuviClear Immediately If You Experience:
Severe or worsening pain
Fever or chills
Skin that becomes pale, gray, white, purple, or unusually discolored
Excessive redness, warmth, or signs of infection
Scabbing or unusual changes near the treatment area

Neurotoxins (Daxxify®, Xeomin®, Jeuveau®) should not be used during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in individuals with certain neurological conditions.
After Treatment
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to treated areas for 24 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise, excessive heat, saunas, and hot tubs for 24 hours.
Apply makeup gently if desired.
If the forehead was treated, avoid hats or visors for 4 hours.
Remaining upright for 4 hours and gently exercising treated muscles may be helpful but is optional.
Touch-Ups & Results
Results begin appearing within several days and continue to improve over 2–4 weeks.
Complimentary touch-ups include up to 2 units when performed 14–21 days after treatment. Additional units are charged at the current rate.
Neurotoxin treatments typically last 3–4 months.

Before Your Peel
Stop retinol, acids, exfoliants, benzoyl peroxide, and Vitamin C for 5–7 days.
Avoid waxing, tanning, and excessive sun exposure for 1 week.
Arrive with clean skin and no makeup.
Let your provider know if you have a history of cold sores, are pregnant/breastfeeding, have used Accutane within 6 months, or have active skin irritation.
What to Expect
Your skin may appear pink, bronzed, or feel tight for the first 1–2 days.
Peeling typically begins around days 2–3 and may continue through days 5–7.
The amount of peeling varies from person to person. Do not pick, pull, scrub, or exfoliate peeling skin.
After Your Peel
Expect redness, tightness, and peeling between days 2–7.
Do not pick, pull, scrub, or exfoliate peeling skin.
Avoid exercise, sweating, hot showers, saunas, hot tubs, and excessive sun exposure for 5–7 days.
Use gentle skincare, keep skin moisturized, and wear SPF 50+ daily.
Resume active skincare products once peeling and sensitivity have resolved, typically within 7–10 days.

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for 4 weeks before treatment. Wear SPF 45+ daily.
Discontinue retinol, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and other exfoliating products 1 week before treatment.
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications or supplements for 48 hours when medically appropriate.
Shave the treatment area 24–48 hours before your appointment.
Inform your provider if you have taken Accutane within the past 6 months or antibiotics within the past 2 weeks.
After Treatment
Mild redness, warmth, and small bumps around hair follicles are normal and usually resolve within 24–48 hours.
Avoid exercise, hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming, and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
Use gentle skincare and avoid retinol, acids, and exfoliants for 5–7 days.
Begin gentle exfoliation after 3 days to help treated hairs shed naturally.
Protect the area from sun exposure and wear SPF 45+ daily
What to Expect
Hair reduction occurs gradually as treated hairs shed over the following weeks.
Most patients require 6–10 treatments for optimal results.
Maintenance treatments are typically recommended every 12–24 months, depending on hormonal and individual factors.

You may color your hair up to 7 days before treatment.
Wash your hair the day of treatment and arrive with a clean scalp free of hairspray, dry shampoo, oils, or styling products.
After Treatment
Mild redness, tenderness, itching, swelling, or flaking is normal for several days.
Avoid washing your hair for at least 2 hours after treatment (24 hours preferred).
Avoid hats, hair coloring, harsh chemicals, swimming, excessive heat, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours.
Avoid NSAIDs for 7 days after treatment; Tylenol® may be used if needed.
Do not apply ice to the treated area.
Stay well hydrated and continue any prescribed hair growth products as directed.

Use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF 45+ daily.
Avoid heat, exercise, hot tubs, saunas, and direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours.
Avoid retinol, acids, exfoliants, and other active skincare products until your skin has fully healed.
Avoid anti-inflammatory medications and ice for 1 week after treatment. Tylenol® may be used if needed.

Swelling and burning sensation are the most common side effect and may last up to 2 weeks, peaking during the first several days.
Bruising, redness, tenderness, numbness, firmness, or small lumps in the treatment area are normal.
Results develop gradually over several weeks, with full results typically visible around 3–4 months.
Most patients require 3–4 treatments for optimal results.
After Treatment
Apply ice as needed and sleep with your head elevated for the first 1–2 nights (if treating submental area).
Tylenol® may be used for discomfort.
Avoid strenuous exercise, alcohol, and excessive salt for 24–48 hours.
Avoid rubbing, massaging, or applying pressure to the treated area.
